United Drywall's product set offers many possibilities for upgrading the look of a home. Each product is designed to enhance the visual appeal and or functionality of a home.

Ceiling Finishes

The ceiling is a large part of the finished portion of a home. Therefore, upgrades to ceiling finishes are an easy way to add a unique and powerful improvement. Below are a list of the possible options available, ranging from least expensive to most expensive.

Regular Texture (Stipple):

Regular texture, or stipple, is the standard product you see in most residential homes. it is a heavy flaky material that does not show any of the ceiling underneath.

Painted Ceilings:

Painted ceilings are when the ceiling is prepared just like the walls and then is left without any added finish. Remember that the ceiling will then have to be painted afterwards.

Orange Peal Spantex:

Orange peal spantex is a light finish that shows a great deal of the flat ceiling underneath. The ceiling is first painted and then the spantex is lightly splattered on over top. it is a more durable product than the regular texture.

Knock-Down Spantex:

Knock-down spantex is a heavier product that shows less of the flat ceiling underneath. The application process is similar to the orange peal but the spantex is splattered on much heavier and is then flattened down.

Hand Trowelled Ceilings:

Hand trowelled ceilings create the most unique ceiling finish as the ceiling is customized to the desire of the homeowner. The process involves sculpting the material to create a consistent and unique pattern.

Ceiling Moldings

The following ceiling moldings are a noticeable way to upgrade a home. The products can be used on their own, or in combination with one another.

Ceiling Borders:

Borders are required anytime a molding is installed but are often added on their own.

Cove:

The Cove is the most commonly used molding.

Cornice:

The Cornice adds a more detailed profile to the ceiling.

Steps:

Steps are used in combination with a cove or cornice molding to add volume to the molding.

Novacrown:

Novacrown is a styrofoam molding which adds another unique profile.

Decorative Products

Instant Arches:

This two piece arch can easily be installed in most openings.

Niches:

Niches can be helpful in showcasing a picture or art piece or just diversifying a standard wall.

Columns:

Columbus have many applications including an entrance to a dinning room or ensuite.

Medallions:

Medallions are used around light fixtures to enhance the detail of a ceiling.

Art Detail:

Drywall mud can be used to add ornate and unique art detail on walls and ceilings.

Rounded Corners

Rounded corners are a popular way to upgrading the look of a home. It is proven to be a quick way to enhance a room by softening the borders on a wall. It also provides a greater level of safety for small children in the event of a crash into the corner.

Rounded corners can be used in many different applications including vertical corners, horizontal corners and arches.

Sound Proofing

There are many useful products available to create a better sound barrier in walls and ceilings. Useful applications are to sound proof a bedroom or bathroom, close off a media room, or meet required specification in multifamily developments.

Wall Insulation:

Insulating walls helps dampen noise from passing through walls.

Ceiling Insulation:

Insulating ceilings keeps noise from traveling to floors above.

Sound Bar:

Sound bar helps reduce the sound vibrations from passing through the framed structure.

Extra Drywall:

Additional layers of drywall helps control sound be creating a denser wall.

Upgrade Insulation

United Drywall uses only the highest quality Fibreglass Pink® Insulation from Owens Corning and Fibreglass Canada.
