Regular Texture (Stipple):
Regular texture, or stipple, is the standard product you see in most residential homes. it is a heavy flaky material that does not show any of the ceiling underneath.
Painted Ceilings:
Painted ceilings are when the ceiling is prepared just like the walls and then is left without any added finish. Remember that the ceiling will then have to be painted afterwards.
Orange Peal Spantex:
Orange peal spantex is a light finish that shows a great deal of the flat ceiling underneath. The ceiling is first painted and then the spantex is lightly splattered on over top. it is a more durable product than the regular texture.
Knock-Down Spantex:
Knock-down spantex is a heavier product that shows less of the flat ceiling underneath. The application process is similar to the orange peal but the spantex is splattered on much heavier and is then flattened down.
Hand Trowelled Ceilings:
Hand trowelled ceilings create the most unique ceiling finish as the ceiling is customized to the desire of the homeowner. The process involves sculpting the material to create a consistent and unique pattern.
